Laurence Dingley

Even the briefest meeting with the artist Laurence Dingley conveys his infectious enthusiasm for life, preferably in the open air.

There is, in his paintings, a spontaneity and freshness of brushwork and palette, which reflects his preference for the outdoor studio - moving directly from subject to canvas. Travelling extensively in the West Country, France, Italy, Greece and Morocco, Laurence inhabits a world of childhood memories (what a joy to know these places still exist). That the timeless quality of the scenes can be captured with such a variety of changing lights and moods is the mark of outstanding talent.

Laurence lives in Stratford upon Avon with his wife Sue and two children.
